Ground Floor

The main entrance is via a recessed porch and an impressive and very heavy arched door (photo below).

Reception Rooms
On the left of the hall is the sitting room (13ft 2" x 12ft 6"), pictured below right from the entrance hall. This cosy room has a shuttered arched window with wooden seat, period fireplace now converted to gas, two radiators and under-stairs cupboard plus fitted bookcase. A second door connected to the neighbouring property (The Studio, formerly Sims Cottage) and has been left as a feature.

On the right of the hall is the Dining Room / Breakfast Room (13ft 2" x 13ft), with a matching shuttered arched window (pictured above looking towards kitchen; see right for the reverse view looking from kitchen). This room benefits from a wood burning stove that makes the room wonderfully snug in winter.

The modern kitchen, which was redesigned in 1999, is in a single storey annex (12ft x 12ft 4") off the Dining Room at the east end of The Cottage. It looks out over a raised patio, plus has two large Velux windows which makes the room airy and light.

There is a stable door that opens onto the passage adjacent to the main gate onto the footpath.
